Terms of Service
These terms apply to use of ReadRight Pro, reading assessment and progress software for primary schools and education professionals. ReadRight Pro is operated as a UK sole trader.
1. The service
ReadRight Pro provides reading passages, oral reading assessment, comprehension questions, reporting and progress tracking for use by teachers and other education professionals.
2. Accounts and responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, for keeping your sign-in details confidential, and for activity carried out under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe an account has been used without authorisation.
3. Authorised school and staff use
Accounts are for use by the subscribing school or organisation and its authorised staff. Pupil information should only be entered by staff who are permitted to do so under the school's own policies, and access should be removed when a staff member leaves.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on the plan and billing period selected at checkout. Access to paid features depends on the subscription remaining in good standing. If a payment fails, access to new paid assessments may be restricted until the payment is resolved.
5. Plan limits and allowances
Each plan includes a stated active-pupil limit and assessment allowance. Limits and allowances are enforced by the service. Where additional assessments are purchased separately, they are used in accordance with the terms shown at the time of purchase.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time from the subscription page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and access continues until then.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempt to access other organisations' data, no interference with the service or its security, no automated scraping or resale of the service, and no uploading of material you are not permitted to process.
8. Intellectual property
ReadRight Pro and its software, design, generated reading materials and question sets remain the property of ReadRight Pro or its licensors. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and to use generated materials for your own teaching and assessment purposes. Your school's own pupil data remains yours.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided without a guaranteed level of availability. Features may be improved, changed or withdrawn, and maintenance may occasionally interrupt access.
10. Assessment outputs and professional judgement
Assessment measures, reading ages, progression suggestions and other outputs are assistive. AI and automated outputs, including speech transcription and generated passages, are not definitive and may contain errors. Teachers remain responsible for interpreting outputs and for any decision made about a child.
11. Data protection
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice. Where ReadRight Pro processes school-controlled personal data, our School Data Processing Agreement applies.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, ReadRight Pro is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from decisions made in reliance on assessment outputs. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where use puts the service or other users at risk, or where required by law.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@readrightpro.com.
